Completely confident in the care she will receive

My daughter has been attending Rockabye going on 3 years, starting in the babies and toddlers room and now in the preschool room. As a full time working parent, I know I can drop my daughter off in the morning and be completely confident in the care she will receive. I love the way all the teachers encourage her interests and provide her opportunities to expand on this through creative play, which has seen her develop and some very impressive skills during her time with Rockabye. The centre has an amazing family orientated feeling and I love the way they involve the families in so many activities throughout the year as well as the portfolios and stories that are shared to show us what she has been doing, this will be a keepsake for years to come. Great teachers, great values and a great decision for the development of my daughter.

The staff at Rockabye are second to none!

On more than one occasion I've been able to bounce ideas of them, at drop off or pick up, on little matters like what to do for fireworks night to the bigger worries of parenting such as developmental progress. Many of the staff are also parents who listen without judgement and with experience in the “real life“!

School Transition Programme

I’m so impressed with the school transition programme done at Rockabye. My son’s new entrant teacher specifically mentioned how well prepared he was for school, and put him straight into the top reading group in his class.

Safe and Secure Environment

Miss DD 4 years has been attending Rock-a-Bye for the last 3.5 years and within this time she has grown from a young baby to a confident self-assured little girl. A stable and trustworthy centre

I think from memory this would be the 8th or 9th year we've been involved with Rockabye and over that time one of the things that has always stood out is the stability and low turnover of staff... to me that's something that's hugely important in early childhood education, and a certainly a sign of a welcoming and trustworthy centre.

A family-like atmosphere

All of you do such an amazing job, and manage to create a very friendly and family-like atmosphere that really results in thinking of your entire team not as staff or teachers but as friends who simply do an amazing job of educating the kids.

Culturally diverse

It's very cool to see how all the diverse cultures within Rockabye are not only respected, but shared and taught. Cody quite often busts out with random facts (in his usual form, it's normally at the most inopportune time... we've had some very funny moments when getting ethnic takeaways) he has learnt about all the different countries and cultures, which I enjoy seeing, as that can only set him up for success in later life by teaching him compassion and understanding for all the various cultures that now make up New Zealand.

Caring and Friendly Staff

We have been extremely happy with the care and education that both our children have received at Rockabye. Finn started at Rockabye in 2010 as 9 month old and remained in their excellent care until he started school. When placing our youngest, Rhys, into daycare it was an easy decision to make. When Finn started school it was very clear to see that he had been well prepared at Rockabye. He was able to socialize well and follow instructions confidently. The caring and friendly staff at Rockabye have made the past 5 years (and 3 more to go) a very enjoyable and pleasant experience and they have made it easy for me to go work every day knowing that my children where/are being very well cared for.
