Can you all hear those Jingle bells and Christmas carols….? Yet again another month has flown by while on our individual learning journey.
We welcome lots of new friends into our Rockabye family this month with open arms. A big welcome to Everly, Maddox, Samuel, Aarohi and Lily to our Baby and Toddlers room. They have all settled very well, and we have all enjoyed taking part in their new journey through Rockabye, as they all build on their sense of belonging. We have also had to say a few sad good-byes, as we wished many of our friends all the best as they made the big transition up to the Preschool room.
Father's day was a great hit again this year and it was great to see so many Dads for breakfast, and a great moment to help celebrate you all. A time to enjoy a little one on one with your little loved ones at Rockabye, and allow a bit of time to engage in some fun exploring and learning together.
It was a full on month celebrating the world cup and we had a very successful “All Blacks” day, a day to show our support and celebrate our many wins. So thank you to all that took part in making this day a fun experience for your children. Check out our new cultural wall display, as we all further learn and celebrate the many different cultures that make us all who we are today.
Other interests that are still being explored strongly, are our building and construction interest. New designs, new creations and new inventions are in the making, building on our fine motor skills daily as we all continue to explore our imaginations and creative sides further.
Over the last few weeks we have also been focusing strongly on exploring and learning our shapes and colours, so hopefully you have all seen some learning being revisited at home too!
