Dramatic Play
Wow, what a wonderful and busy few months it’s been! The Preschoolers have been enjoying exploring their ‘Dramatic Play,’ enjoying using the Post Office that has been created for them.
The children have been writing letters to one another, and then mailing them in their friends individual letter boxes. The children have been taking turns at being the Post Office Assistant, working behind the counter, taking notes, and mailing the letters. Through this experience the children are further developing their co-operative play skills, learning that they can take on different roles during their play.
An interest that is ever growing in the Preschool room, is the area of ‘Construction’. The children have been very busy in the block area, using the blocks, and other resources to create some amazing buildings. Even some of the girls have brought their love of the “Frozen” movie into the block area; using the wooden blocks to construct the frozen castle. There has been other types of construction happening around the room too, we have been providing the children with varied opportunities to extend their exploration, both inside and outside.
Red nose day was so much fun. The children really enjoyed having a shared lunch, and it was such a beautiful day that they even got to enjoy a picnic lunch. Thank you everyone for making a huge effort and all coming in your red clothing.
Great effort Preschool
