Anzac Day, Wacky Wednesday and Mrs Bunny

It has been another fun and busy month here in the Babies and Toddlers room! We have had so many special occasions in such a short amount of time.

Many of the children got into celebrating Anzac Day, Wacky Wednesday and of course a lovely visit from Mrs Bunny for Easter. Some of the children welcomed her with open arms, while a few were not so sure about her! We had an Easter egg hunt which the children just loved, they had so much fun hunting for the eggs and even more fun eating them! Some of our interests at the moment are on-going such as “Things that make us go zoom” and getting “Wet and Wild.” An emerging interest is the children’s interest in Te Reo Maori. The teachers have been encouraging this interest through different books and waiata’s throughout the month. We were also fortunate enough to have special visitor coming to teach us some Te Reo and action songs! A big thank you to Raina who has been practising using her ukulele and singing with the children at mat times. Mothers day is coming up so our children have all been busy making a special surprise for all our lovely mums. We look forward to seeing the Mums/Friends/Nanas for our 'Mothers Day' morning tea!
