It has been another fun and busy month here in the Babies and Toddlers room! We have had so many special occasions in such a short amount of time.
Welcome September....We hope to say goodbye to winter and hello to spring! Another exciting and busy month has just flown by. We have welcomed many new friends into our Rockabye family this month, and it is great to see them settling so well and building on their sense of belonging daily. We have also said goodbye to two very special friends, Rhys and Elliot as they spread their wings to new discoveries and challenges up in the preschool room. We all wish them the best on their new adventure.
We had a great bike day at Rockabye on the 21st of August. This special day was to extend on our current interest with, “Things that go zoom.” It was great to see so many take part in this day, that also allowed many children to be able to connect that something special from home to Rockabye life too.
Throughout the month of August the teacher’s in the B and T room have noticed a huge growth in language and vocabulary skills. Daily the children’s sounds, letters, and words seem to be growing. As part of this interest, we have started on a journey of “Exploring our A.B.C’s.” To help further extend on this growing interest we have also been focussing on specific colours and shapes to add to each child’s individual learning journey! Watch this space!
On top of all we have all been very busy creating and preparing for our special Father’s Day morning tea on Friday, and we look forward to celebrating with all our special Dad’s and Grandads out there.
